Thank you for your interest
in participating in this Angelman syndrome clinical trial. The trial
will be held at the University of South Florida under the direction of
the principal investigator Edwin Weeber, Ph.D. A total of 24 patients
will be randomly selected to participate in the open label trial to
determine the efficacy of Minocycline as a treatment for Angelman
syndrome. Complete information about the trial can be found at http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01531582.
The minocycline clinical trial is now closed to recruitment. We have
had a tremendous response and we want to thank each of you for your
participation in this process. If for some reason you were not able to
participate in this clinical trial we want you to know that other
clinical trials are ongoing and can be found by searching "Angelman
Syndrome" on clinicaltrials.gov.
Further, we are hopeful that more clinical research will be performed
in the near future both here at USF and other institutions throughout
the country. Although this clinical trial is about to begin, our
researchers as well as other researchers throughout the country have
continued to search for even more treatments for AS. Together, we are
confident that we will find a therapy to help your Angels reach their
maximum potential.

have already sent us your information for the Minocycline clinical
trial, it is not necessary to submit your contact information again.
